Annual Fund – Alumni & Friends Campaign

Penn State alumni and friends express their dedication to Penn State Wilkes-Barre year after year through generous contributions. We appreciate your support no matter what you are able to give. Your participation at any level affirms your belief in Penn State Wilkes-Barre and strengthens our position when asking for support from others. Whether recently graduated, many years retired, or somewhere in between, Penn Staters find a way to give back in a meaningful way.  Our alumni and friends prove year after year that they are not only our greatest ambassadors, but also our greatest supporters.

An accessible education has always been part of the Penn State University mission. The availability of scholarship support for current students is critical to the success of Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Each year, the scholarship dollars donated by alumni and friends of the University are awarded to hundreds of deserving students who may not otherwise have the ability to attend college. This, as always, remains a key area of need at the Wilkes-Barre campus.

However, unrestricted dollars are ever more important for Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Unrestricted money donated from alumni and friends supports the life of the Campus on an annual basis. These donations are particularly vital as they can be used immediately, wherever the need is greatest as deemed by the campus. Unrestricted dollars support our continued growth and success, providing essential financial aid, enhancing student life, attracting and retaining outstanding faculty and staff, upgrading technology, and improving campus facilities. Every gift is important – whatever the amount. Together, alumni and friends enhance the University experience for all of us.
