The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Student Government Association (SGA) will once again be holding their Annual Haunted Forest Fundraiser for Children with Pediatric Cancer at the Hershey Medical Center. Since the Haunted Forest’s inception in 1998, the Penn State Wilkes-Barre SGA, through events such as the Haunted Forest, Canning Weekends, Basket Raffles, and Dodgeball Tournaments, has raised over $100,000 for the 4 Diamonds Fund. The Four Diamonds Fund was established to assist children being treated for cancer at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and their families through superior care, comprehensive support, and innovative research.

This year’s event will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 17-18-19 and October 24-25-26. Doors open at 7 pm, with the last show starting at 10:40 pm. Cost is $7 per person; in groups of 10 or more, $5 each. This year there will be a special Safe Trick or Treating show for children under 8 on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 2-4 pm, $3 per child.

“This event is a great way of bringing the campus community together, offering an opportunity for our local community to see what our students can do, all while helping children with Cancer at the Hershey Medical Center,” explains Carmen Ciampi, Haunted Forest Chair.
