Anatomy of Terrorism will air on WVIA

With the U.S. on a heightened level of alert, fears of new terrorist attacks have gripped the country. On Wednesday, February 19, at 8 PM, WVIA-TV 44 will feature "Anatomy of Terrorism" with guests: Dr. Martin Slann, director of academic affairs at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Andrea M. Lopez, assistant professor of political science at Susquehanna University, and Harry Robidoux, director of Monroe County office of emergency services.

Both Dr. Slann, and Dr. Lopex are experts on terrorism. Dr. Slann has authored and co-authored numerous articles and books on the subject, including an "Encyclopedia of Terrorism." His textbook supplement, "The September 11 Attack on America and Its Aftermath" will appear in the introductory section of all upcoming American Government and Political textbooks published by Houghton Mifflin. Dr. Lopez teaches international relations in the Political Science department, with a concentration on international security issues. Her research focuses on civil wars, guerrilla war, intervention, and peacekeeping. Mr. Robidoux serves as the chairman of the Northeast Pennsylvania Counter Terrorism Taskforce and will offer a state and regional perspective.
