Campus open house scheduled
High school students and their families are invited to meet faculty, staff, and students at Penn State Wilkes-Barre's annual fall open house on Saturday, October 28, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Athletics & Recreation Building. The open house will provide an opportunity to learn more about the 160+ majors that Penn State has to offer, plus information regarding admission procedures, scholarships and financial aid, athletic programs, student clubs and much more. A career exploration presentation will also be included in the program and a complimentary lunch will be served at noon.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre offers the resources of a large research university in a small college setting. Students can complete coursework for the first two years of most of the University’s degree majors, and then finish their degree at another location, including University Park. Students who prefer to stay in the area can select one of 8 bachelor’s or 6 associate degrees that can be completed entirely at this campus. Four-year programs include Administration of Justice, Business, Information Sciences & Technology, English, and Electrical Engineering Technology. Penn State Wilkes-Barre is the only campus in the University's system to offer both two- and four-year degrees in surveying.
For those who cannot attend the Saturday event, an evening open house will be held Tuesday, November 14, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Hayfield House 105.
Register online for either event or call (570) 675-9238.
