Paul Plays it All – including the kitchen sink!
Paul Order (a.k.a. Paul Plays it All) returns to Penn State Wilkes-Barre with his unique one man band on Wednesday, November 29, from noon – 1 p.m. in the Student Commons.
According to his web site, Paul has been musical since childhood. He began his classical training on the piano at age four and by the time he reached the ripe old age of ten, he had mastered intricate Bach and Mozart compositions. Paul went on to learn to play the drums, guitar, and numerous other musical (and not-so-musical) instruments. In his current solo performances, Paul spends about two hours setting up more than twenty instruments, both acoustic and electric, traditional and non-traditional. He sings and plays these 20+ instruments including four keyboards, several different guitars, drums, harmonica, melodica, mandolin, banjo, accordion, soprano, alto, and tenor sax, musical saw, shopping cart, and the kitchen sink! Sound effects, props, and comedy tunes mix with original arrangements of classics, reggae, and alternative pieces, not to mention some new up and coming originals.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre's cultural and performing arts events are free and open to the public. For more information, call Jackie Warnick-Piatt at 570-675-9284 or JackieWP@psu.edu.
