Soccer Loses Hard-Fought Battle to Worthington Scranton

After over a week-long layoff, Wilkes-Barre (0-2) fell short, losing to Worthington Scranton 1-3 on Monday.  Wilkes-Barre got off to a 1-0 lead after Freshman Dan Grandinetti scored the first goal of the season for the team. The team put up a tremendous battle, but let Worthington Scranton score two unanswered goals.  Wilkes-Barre’s goalie Nick Decker made some great saves and stopped 13 shots total throughout the 90 minutes.  Wilkes-Barre heads to New Kensington for their next PSUAC battle on Saturday, September 17th.
