The Friedman Observatory

The Friedman Observatory opened in 1990. The dome itself is standard, about sixteen feet in diameter with a retractable hatch. It has the capability to rotate so that different parts of the sky can be observed. The telescope is a 16 inch (0.40 meter) Meade Schmidt-Cassagrain LX200.

The Observatory is a resource not only for students but also for the community. Observatory Public Nights occur frequently, weather cooperating.
