In 2010, the PSU Wilkes-Barre Golf Team completed its fourth straight undefeated regular season in the PSU Athletic Conference Eastern Division. It now has won 18 consecutive regular season tournament titles and 4 divisional championships in a row. The 2010 golf team finished third overall in the PSU Athletic Conference Tournament and sixth in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Tournament. The USCAA is a national association encompassing schools throughout the United States. The 2011 team will start 5 underclassmen and the future looks promising.

11/2/11 - Penn State Wilkes-Barre golfers Matt Boozer and Eric Bogumil have both been named to the USCAA Academic All-American Team. This team consists of all USCAA student-athletes who have achieved over a 3.50 GPA. Congratulations to Matt and Eric!
Golf Finished Up Season at PSUAC/USCAA Championships
10/12/11—The Penn State Wilkes-Barre golf team finished the season this past weekend at the PSUAC/USCAA Championships. The tournament was held at the Penn State University Golf Course in University Park, PA. The team finished 5th overall in the PSUAC and 11th out of 23 teams in the USCAA. Junior Mike Wills placed 8th overall (84/80) while Sophomore Matt Boozer finished 9th overall (81/85), each winning medals. Junior Mark Wasickanin finished with scores of 89/87 and fellow Sophomore Steve Brennan finished with scores of 99/95.
Boozer Paces Wilkes-Barre to 2nd Place Finish
9/22/11—Matt Boozer shot an 82 to lead Penn State Wilkes-Barre to a 2nd place finish in the Penn State Wilkes-Barre PSUAC Golf Invitational at Irem Country Club (Dallas, PA). Not far behind Boozer were Mike Wills (84) and Mark Wasickanin (88). Eric Bogumil added a 99 for Wilkes-Barre. The golf team next heads to Edgemont CC (hosted by Penn State Brandywine) next Thursday, September 29th.
Wills and Boozer Lead Wilkes-Barre to 2nd-Place Finish
9/13/2011—Matt Boozer and Mike Wills each shot an 84 to lead Penn State Wilkes-Barre to a 2nd-place finish at the Penn State Schuylkill Tournament at Mountain Valley Golf Course (Barnesville, PA). Mark Wasickanin also added an 86 for Wilkes-Barre.
Wilkes-Barre’s next match will take place on Wednesday, September 21st locally at Irem Temple Country Club (Penn State Wilkes-Barre is the host of this tournament).
