Head Women’s Basketball Coach Position Open
5/13/13 - Penn State Wilkes-Barre seeks a Head Women's Basketball Coach. This position reports directly to the Director of Athletics. The qualified person will: plan and direct the team during all practices and games; recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; emphasize academic success to student-athletes; supervise assistant coaches; and promote the women’s basketball program. Evening and weekend hours will be required for practices and games. This is a part-time, fixed-term 2 position. Associates degree and 1-2 years of successful coaching and/or playing experience is required. Applicant must be capable of driving a 15 passenger van and have a flexible work schedule to accommodate travel to away contests. This position is best fit for someone who would not have to relocate.

Kringe Leaves Penn State Wilkes-Barre
5/13/13 - Head Women’s Basketball Coach Kevin Kringe has left Penn State Wilkes-Barre to pursue another coaching opportunity. Kringe led the women’s basketball program to a 6-15 overall and 3-11 PSUAC record in his only season with the Mountain Lions. “I appreciate Kevin’s work with our women’s basketball program in his short time here and wish him the best of luck in the future,” said Director of Athletics, Brian D. Stanchak. The search for a new Head Women’s Basketball Coach has already begun.
