Information for Students
The Eastern Region Career Conference & Expo 2014 will be held on the Penn State Schuylkill Campus. Free *Transportation will be provided to those students interested in attending the conference and expo. Please stop in to see Karen Ford in the Struthers Family Career Services Center or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, phone number and email address indicating that you would like to ride the bus. The bus will leave the Wilkes-Barre campus at approximately 7:00 a.m. and will return at approximately 5:30.
Students participating in the conference will attend two sessions about career topics. Each session has two offerings to choose from:
Session 1 (Students will choose one of the following topics)
- #Hot Jobs! Trending now
- What's developed outside of the classroom matters
- Finding your comfort zone: Is this the right job for me?
- Backpack to Briefcase: Planning for your financial future
Session 2 (All students will attend this session)LinkedIn session and photo-booth
Participants will be provided lunch with employers afterwards. The conference is open only to all currently registered Penn State students. Registration is required to participate in the conference. *Note: Professional dress required if you are actively seeking a job or internship. See examples of professional attire for men and women. Otherwise, if you are attending the conference and expo for professional development purposes, business casual is appropriate. See examples of business casual for men and women.

The Career Exploration Expo is an opportunity for Penn State students and alumni to talk with employers about future career opportunities. Some employers will be actively recruiting as well. Registration is not required to attend the Expo.
